The School of CSE at Georgia Tech is seeking outstanding individuals for the following positions:
Postdoctoral Fellow in Plasma Modeling, Scientific Machine Learning, and Fusion Physics
The research group of Dr. Qi Tang in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The position starts in Spring 2027 or later. It is a two-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funding.
The fellow will work at the intersection of plasma turbulence modeling, machine learning for multiphysics and multiscale problems, and fusion physics. The position is part of TEMPEST (https://tempest-stc.msu.edu/), a new NSF Science and Technology Center led by physicist Dr. Michael Murillo. The fellow is expected to collaborate broadly across the Center’s partner universities, national laboratories, and industry partners.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics, applied mathematics, computational science, or a closely related field by the start date. Expertise in plasma physics, scientific machine learning, high-performance scientific computing, or data science is a plus.
How to apply
