Dr. Umeshwar Dayal is the inaugural speaker in the Sham Navathe Distinguished Lecture series. As the Chief Scientist at Hitachi he has been guiding research in AI/Analytics and big data and has been able to apply his database systems experience at H-P and Digital to real-world problems dealing with sustainability and circular economy.
